Rachael Thorleifson | Weimar, Germany
Rachael Thorleifson (b. Winnipeg, Treaty 1 territory) is a visual artist making objects, images, and site specific installations about heirlooms, romance, oil-refineries, family, flowers, death, industrial waste, genius and snakes. She is one of four founders of Blinkers, a non-profit project space based in Winnipeg, where she was a co-director until August 2021. Recent exhibitions include Glass Factory, 2022 at PLATFORM Centre for Photographic and Digital Arts (Winnipeg, Canada) and Plaza Plays Place, 2020, a collaborative exhibition with John Patterson and Hannah Doucet, at Neutral Ground (Regina, Canada). She is currently based in Weimar, Germany.
