The Visual Arts Lecture Series presents talks by leading Canadian and international artists, curators, and academics.

Join April Britski, Visual Art guest from Early Career Banff Artists in Residency program, who is the National Executive Director of CARFAC, Canada’s national association for visual artists. Originally from Saskatchewan, she is a co-founder of Artists’ Legal Services Ottawa and the Visual Arts Alliance, and she has served on several boards of cultural policy and artist-run organizations. In this discussion, Britski will discuss her role in the development and implementation of organizational policies and strategies related to artists’ legal and economic rights, along with related advocacy efforts and an overview of CARFAC.
