Curatorial Research Practicum
The curatorial research program in Walter Phillips Gallery is designed for emerging curators. This is a hands-on opportunity that allows individuals an opportunity to work with the Director and Curator to receive direct mentorship on research practices that support the presentation, production and critical analysis of contemporary art.
Banff Artist in Residence (BAiR) Emerging is an immersive program of studio practice, creative exploration, feedback and mentorship for artists in the early stages of their careers. The program combines the artistic freedom of a self-directed residency with the supportive benefits of an organized program.
The Photography Practicum provides the opportunity for participants to advance their skills in a professional photography environment that deals with complex systems, logistical and technical challenges and mission critical deadlines.

The Banff Artist in Residence (BAiR) Spring Intensive is a four week self-directed program providing the time and space for artists, curators, and arts professionals to create and cultivate new directions in their work.
Indigenous Art Journal
