The fortepiano was used by Beethoven and Brahms to compose their masterpieces, but these days there aren't many of them around. You will, however, find one at The Banff Centre. The all-wood frame produces a softer sound, so when modern performers play classical songs on the fortepiano, there's a much greater sense of history in the music. Watch Pedja Muzijevic debut The Banff Centre’s new fortepiano.
