Banff, Alberta, June 26, 2013 -- As you have likely heard, or even been affected by yourself, most of Southern Alberta has been in the midst of a disaster due to extreme flooding. While we’ve been okay up here at The Banff Centre, we’ve had many staff displaced throughout the Bow Valley, major road closures, power outages and other challenges as emergency crews work to help those most in need and to get services back in functional order. Really, we have been very fortunate here as many others in Alberta have lost their homes and livelihoods – we send positive energy to the many, many people who have been affected by this devastating situation.

At the Classified concert in the Shaw Amphitheatre on Sunday, June 30, we are collecting donations in support of Bow Valley flood relief. The Rotary Club of Canmore will be on-site to receive donations.  The Banff Centre will match donations made during the concert.

Do you know an essential service worker? We're offering one FREE ticket to essential service workers who were involved in flood control in Banff and Canmore. These workers can collect 1 complimentary ticket at the door. Please bring ID, a business card and/or pay stub. For more information, contact The Box Office at 1.403.762.6301 or 1.800.413.8368.
