Meet in the lobby of the Walter Phillips Gallery to begin your walk around the Open Studios.

Please join us for Open Studios for two concurrent residencies at Banff Centre as well as for a series of live events in conjunction with the Walter Phillips Gallery exhibition, Soundings: An Exhibition in Five Parts, curated by Candice Hopkins and Dylan Robinson and touring through Independent Curators International.

Artists participating in the Indigenous Arts residency, Akunumusǂitis: Ecological Engagement through the Seasons, and in Banff Artists in Residence 2D, will open their doors to the public to experience the work they have produced over the course of their programs.

A number of live performances in conjunction with Soundings: An Exhibition in Five Parts will also take place throughout Glyde Hall, the Jeanne and Peter Lougheed Building, and outdoors on campus over the course of the event. An exhibition tour will also be offered before 3pm prior to Open Studios.

Banff Centre is participating in the Government of Alberta’s Restrictions Exemption Program, guests will be asked for proof of vaccination, medical exemption, or a privately-paid negative PCR or rapid test within 72 hours prior to your visit and government-issued ID.
