Open Studio is a video series that takes you inside the studios and creative spaces of Banff Centre's artists.

“It's good to have a place that you can be messy,” says visual artist Emmanuel Osahor. While at Banff Centre, Emmanuel experimented with transferring paint to concrete. His work is inspired by shelters or gardens in Edmonton, and he paints using materials like tarps as a canvas. “Tarp is more transient, concrete is stable and it’s not going anywhere.” Learn more about the process in this Open Studio video.
