Boxing FITness - course #9046

Get FIT this fall with boxing, cardio, strength and core intervals!  This class is for all fitness levels and no boxing experience is needed.

The following classes are included in a Sally Borden Fitness and Recreation Performance Plus Membership and are also available for drop in with the purchase of a Day Membership.

FLOW YOGA

Monday 6:30 - 7:30 pm

Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 12:00 - 1:00 pm

Sunday 9:00 - 10:00 am ** new class **

Enjoy the power of connecting the mind, body and spirit with Vinyasa Flow Yoga. Improve your flexibility, core strength, balance, and stability though various postures and stretches. This is a dynamic style of yoga where the postures flow from one to the next with emphasis on the breath. This is a mixed level flow class and ability levels are welcome. We recommend newcomers arrive 10-15 minutes early to speak with the instructor about any concerns they have. Modifications are given for all postures and participants are encouraged to work at their own level.

YIN YOGA

Tuesday 7:30 - 8:30 pm  

Sunday 4:30 - 5:30 pm 

The practice of Yin Yoga is often considered “yoga for the joints – not the muscles”.  It targets the connective tissues of the body (tendons, fascia and ligaments) and focuses on creating a release by holding poses for longer periods of time.  Yin Yoga poses are generally more passive and meditative in comparison to flow classes, providing a calming and balancing of the mind while increasing the mobility and flexibility of the body.

Dress warm or bring layers as yin is not as heat generating as flow classes.


YIN and YANG YOGA

Wednesday 6:30 - 7:30 pm

Yin and Yang Yoga blends the two styles of yoga into one practice. It provides harmony and balance for both active and passive energy as well as muscular energy and release.  Yin and Yang Yoga is a great opportunity to create inner peace, and to generate an uplifting sensation and strength.

 

Private Yoga Class

Private yoga sessions are designed to help students advance towards their personal goals. Sessions are personalized with your specific needs in mind to design a customized sequence that will benefit you. Whether you’re an athlete, a yogi, or just aiming towards specific goals, private yoga can offer you a worthwhile choice to achieve your success. There are many different reasons to take private yoga sessions. 

Please contact the Sally B Health and Fitness Coordinator for more information. Private yoga session rates are the same as personal training sessions.


WOW - WORKOUT OF THE WEEK

Monday and Wednesday 12:10 - 1:00 pm

Join Martina's Workout of the Week on Mondays and Wednesdays!  

The fun and dynamic class will focus on strength and movement conditioning exercises. This class is appropriate for all fitness levels.

BOOT CAMP (is back !)

Tuesday 5:30 - 6:30 pm

A great workout for everyone!  Class will include cardio conditioning, strength work, core and stretching.  An energizing and challenging functional fitness class that is appropriate for all levels.


ZUMBA

Thursday 6:15 - 7:15 pm

Zumba is a Latin-inspired dance-fitness class which combines fast and slow rhythms with cardio and muscle-toning benefits. Dance to merengue, salsa, cumbia, reggaeton, hip hop and more. Dancers and non-dancers alike immediately and easily master a Zumba class. It's fun! Let loose, rock out, have a blast and burn calories. Zumba is "Exercise in Disguise".
