Join Joi T. Arcand from Muskeg Lake Cree Nation, a prestigious multidisciplinary visual artist, curator, arts professional, and Sobey Art Award shortlist nominee, and faculty for the Visual Arts Thematic Residency – Get LIT! Language, Image, Text, for an afternoon talk.

Using photography, digital collage, and graphic design, Arcand’s practice is characterized by a subversive reclamation and Indigenization of public spaces through the use of Cree language and syllabics.

A member of the art and curatorial collective Wolf Babe, Arcand is currently a student at University nuhelotʼįne thaiyotsʼį nistameyimâkanak Blue Quills enrolled in the Bachelor of Cree Language Program.
