Inge Wegge is no stranger to remote adventures – after all, he was one half of the duo (with Jørn Ranum) that spent nine months living on a remote arctic island in Northern Norway, as seen in North of the Sun. This Grand Prize award-winning film was a favourite of the 2013/2014 World Tour, which documented Wegge and Ranum's experience building a cabin out of marine debris, surfing under the endless night skies, and collecting three tonnes of ocean trash in the process.

After returning from this adventure, Wegge went on another remote surfing expedition to Bear Island (a small island in the middle of mainland Norway and Spitsbergen, Svalbard). However, things changed after he became a father, and seeking adventure closer to home became the name of the game. The result? Playground Lofoten, a four-part TV series that featured incredible experiences such as skiing with the northern lights dancing overhead, and paragliding and highlining with his brothers and sister above Lofoten.

These days, Wegge is a full-time filmmaker, and is currently working on a documentary about an “incredible” beluga whale named Hvaldimir that came to Norway two years ago.
