This residency will engage participants in storytelling, in preparation for performance. Performances will include storytelling with spoken word and music lyricism.
Ghost Days: Making Art for Spirit
This experimental, multidisciplinary residency will explore spirit and culture from an Indigenous perspective in a contemporary world. Ghost Days will attempt to invoke the spirits and ghosts of Indigenous, colonial, and non-colonial history as both artistic collaborators and audience.

The Walter Phillips Gallery Indigenous Preparatorial Practicum program enables the participant to engage in hands-on opportunities working alongside the gallery’s curator and preparator.
Urban Moose Hide Tanning Residency
Learn from experienced hide tanning instructors and Master Dene and Stoney Nakoda Elders. Program participants will traditionally process a raw moose hide to a beautiful smoke tanned hide.
The Space Between Us: Technology, collaboration, and the future
This residency welcomes Indigenous visual artists, curators, and scholars from all nations around the world to gather here on Treaty 7 Territory. Participants will create new work, collaborate, and investigate technology as a decolonial tool to discuss culture, contemporary art practice, and the future.
