Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity announces the Fall-Winter lineup of Banff Centre Presents, a season of international touring artists and Canadian favourites, featuring Banff Centre alumnus and acclaimed trumpet player Jens Lindemann, JUNO Award-winning country artist William Prince, post-post-modern diva Meow Meow on her Festive Feline tour, and more. Tickets for all performances are on sale now!
BANFF, AB, SEPTEMBER 10, 2026 – Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity invites audiences to a season of bold performances in the Fall-Winter lineup of Banff Centre Presents, spanning live music, dance, multimedia storytelling, cabaret performance art, and a globally acclaimed Hamlet. Running from October 2026 through January 2027, Banff Centre Presents brings eight events to the Bow Valley, promising to challenge viewers' expectations and see the familiar through a different lens, while leading with fun, hope, and world-class entertainment.
Banff Centre’s longstanding commitment as a place for boundary-pushing artistry extends to the public stage with Banff Centre Presents—the home for live performances by local favourites and international hits in the Bow Valley and Banff National Park, taking place in Banff Centre venues like the Jenny Belzberg Theatre, Margaret Greenham Theatre, and CLVB ’33.
This season, each performance takes something recognizable, whether it be the trumpet, rock ‘n’ roll, dance, country songs, holiday music, or a classic play, and reimagines it for a new stage. The result is a lineup of musicians, dancers, and artists who transform familiar sounds, stories, and traditions, and an opportunity for audiences to experience something in an entirely new way. This season includes the previously announced musicians Jimi (Oct. 11), William Prince (Nov. 20), and Jens Lindemann (Oct. 10). It also includes GRAMMY-nominated Laila Biali (Nov. 30), Taiwanese dance legend Hung Dance’s BIRDY (Nov. 28), Australia’s darling cabaret performer Meow Meow (Dec. 16), and theatre productions Rick Miller’s BOOM X (Dec. 10) and Peru’s Teatro La Plaza’s Hamlet (Jan. 29).

Jens Lindemann: A Tribute to the Trumpet Greats
Saturday, October 10 | 7:30 p.m.
Jenny Belzberg Theatre
Hailed as one of the most celebrated artists in the trumpet’s history, Jens Lindemann has played in every major concert venue in the world, including Carnegie Hall, the Philharmonics of New York, Los Angeles, London, Berlin, Moscow, and Tokyo, and even the Great Wall of China.
Lindemann has a deep connection with Banff Centre, having trained and performed here. This Fall, he returns to celebrate the trumpet greats and give Bow Valley audiences a preview of his newest work. Joined by a wildly talented ensemble of artists, including Dave Pierce (drums), Kristian Alexandrov (keys), Miles Hill (bass), and guest Angela Smart (violin), this performance will consist of three pieces, including a tribute to the instrument’s greats, Oscar Peterson’s Canadiana Suite, and the world-premiere preview of The Rocky Mountain Suite, which he is currently developing in residency at Banff Centre.
Jimi: Bar Stars and Beauty Queens Tour
Sunday, October 11 | 7 p.m.
CLVB ’33
Vancouver's breakout rocker Jimi brings unstoppable guitar chops, powerhouse vocals, and a songwriting style that seamlessly blends blues grit with modern rock swagger to Banff Centre’s CLVB ’33.
Jimi has already proven her ability to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with some of music’s greats, sharing the stage with The Black Crowes, Def Leppard, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, and Cameron Whitcomb, while earning mentorship from Canadian icon Bryan Adams. Fans come for the riffs and stay for the songs.

The two-time JUNO Award-winning artist has built an exceptional body of work, including performances at the Newport Folk Festival and Canmore Folk Festival, as well as shows at many prestigious theatres.
Audiences can expect an intimate performance featuring William Prince, his guitar, and songs from his new album Further From the Country. The album expands Prince’s sound and sharpens his focus for a collection of songs that leave their mark on listeners for their humanity and potency.
Hung Dance: BIRDY
Saturday, November 28 | 7:30 p.m.

This captivating dance performance explores the freedom and limitations within Taiwan's communities. Internationally renowned Hung Dance choreographer LAI Hung-chung delves into the subtle influences of emotions and historical echoes on social harmony through a blend of societal dynamics and personal narratives. Named after the Chinese character "Hung (翃)," meaning to soar or fly high in the sky, Hung Dance has performed hundreds of shows across five continents at multiple international festivals, including the Avignon Off Festival in France and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in the UK.
The performance mixes athletic, precise movements, a stunning visual language, and a dynamic score that blends classic and electronic sounds to create a sonic environment entirely its own.
Laila Biali: Wintersongs

Also deeply connected to Banff Centre, Laila Biali returns to perform works from her 2024 album Wintersongs. During her creative residency in the Leighton Artist Studios, Biali took inspiration from the Rocky Mountains and stunning winter snowfall when composing the album, which earned her a 2025 GRAMMY nomination for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album alongside Brandi Carlile, Elton John, Lady Gaga, Barbara Streisand, and Laufey.
Appealing to jazz, classical, and holiday audiences, the album has received critical acclaim and industry recognition, including a JUNO nomination for Best Vocal Jazz Album.
BOOM X

Margaret Greenham Theatre
BOOM X is the second installment of the BOOM Trilogy, exploring music, culture, politics, and major events that shaped Generation X between 1970 and 1995. Called a “marvellous mashup of media, verbatim theatre, jukebox musical and autobiographical confession” by The Globe and Mail and “an immensely entertaining, high-energy magic carpet ride with a real genie for a tour guide,” these “rockumentaries” have been performed for hundreds of audiences.
Using rapid character transformation, live performance, music, video projection, and documentary-style storytelling, Rick Miller takes the audience all the way to 1995, when the internet began to dominate our lives. In as little as 100 minutes, Miller plays over 100 colourful characters from the days of disco, the oil crisis, Watergate, the Cold War, video games, punk rock, the (second) British Invasion, and more.
Meow Meow: Feline Festive

Post-post-modern diva, Meow Meow brings her background in opera, dance, theatre, and crowd-surfing to this high-energy, hilarious, and naughty performance.
Enter the glorious world of International Chanteuse and Comedienne Extraordinaire Meow Meow these holidaze with her unique brand of holiday hilarity and musical mayhem, featuring a band of superb musicians and music ranging from jazzy vintage showbiz to wicked, witty Weimar 1920’s tunes. Stopping in Banff as part of her North American tour, Meow Meow’s Feline Festive will fill you with childhood wonder and rekindle the true spirit of the holidays.
Teatro La Plaza: Hamlet
Friday, January 29 | 7:30 p.m.
Jenny Belzberg Theatre
Eight actors from the Teatro La Plaza retell Hamlet, starting with the play’s famous monologue “To be or not to be...” The Peruvian actors, all living with Down syndrome, weave their own experience into the performance, asking audience members to consider their biases, assumptions, and what “being” means to people who are often excluded from society. The experience is funny, moving, and engaging, encouraging viewers to see the famous work in a completely new light.
Performed with English surtitles, Hamlet has established itself as an international sensation, having performed in 20 countries, 51 cities, and at well-renowned festivals and theatres including Toronto’s Luminato Festival, Théâtre de la Ville Paris, Singapore International Festival of the Arts, and more.
