Craig Falcon Made Sure 'The Revenant' Told Authentic Indigenous Stories

Craig Falcon had never worked on a movie before, but here he was on the set of The Revenant, one of the year's biggest films. He was the movie’s cultural advisor, which means he made sure all indigenous references in the film were accurate — a job Hollywood has not always taken seriously. We spoke with Craig about working with Leo, where he gained his cultural knowledge, and why roles like his are important.

Craig was at The Banff Centre in February for the Indigenous Negotiation Skills Training program through The Banff Centre's Peter Lougheed Leadership Institute.
