Banff Centre Mountain Film and Book Festival

Since 1976, the Banff Centre Mountain Film and Book Festival, a flagship program of Banff Centre, has been an industry leader in the celebration of Mountain Culture. We promote understanding and appreciation of the world’s mountain places by creating opportunities for people to share and find inspiration in mountain experiences, ideas, and visions. Following the festival each fall, our annual World Tour reaches more than 40 countries on 7 continents, making us the largest adventure film tour on the planet.

IMPORTANT: UPDATE, JUNE 30, 2022: We've migrated to a new platform (using the same URL, filmfest.banffcentre.ca) with the goal of improving audience experience. Even if you've rented a program from us before, you'll need to create a new account on our new platform. If you rented a program or received a gift before June 11, 2022 and hadn't yet watched it, please email us at banffmountainfestival@banffcentre.ca or worldtourinfo@banffcentre.ca so that we can set you up with access to your program on the new platform, as there isn't an automatic migration of everyone's purchases.
