KOYOT is an alternative folk band from Regina, Saskatchewan, creating music that is immersive, emotionally resonant, and rooted in story-driven songwriting. Blending atmospheric instrumentation with indie, alternative rock, and folk influences, the band has developed a sound that is both contemporary and distinctive.
Drawing from Cree and Métis heritage, KOYOT bridges cultural identity with modern soundscapes, offering music that reflects lived experience, artistic exploration, and emotional depth. The band is led by vocalist Wade Lavallee (Calling Rivers), whose storytelling anchors the project, alongside Donavin Logan on bass and songwriting, whose atmospheric approach helps define KOYOT’s evolving sound. The lineup is completed by lead guitarist Harin Joshi and drummer Dex Yadlowski, whose musicianship and live energy strengthen the band’s live presence.
