Timothonius is a Calgary-based pianist and composer whose playing moves between worlds — classical, neo-soul, gospel and contemporary jazz — without ever quite settling in any one of them. Trained at Mount Royal University and Berklee College of Music, he brings both deep roots and an appetite for the unplanned to everything he touches.
For this return to CLVB '33, Timothonius is joined by vocalist and singer-songwriter Jane Madeleine, whose voice sits at the edge of intimacy and atmosphere: velvet-smooth, emotionally unhurried, and quietly haunting. Together, they navigate the space between structure and spontaneity, moving fluidly between composed repertoire and improvised discovery. Their musical dialogue is part concert, part conversation, and always alive to what the moment offers. Come ready to be surprised.
